The Streaming Giant Casts Perfect Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a adored, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
The platform declared recently that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bentham. This character possesses the power to morph into an perfect replica of anyone they’ve touched with their right hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that figure reimagined as non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action series, unlike the original manga and cartoon version.
This performer joins multiple new cast members who will portray the organization to life, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as another operative, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as the monarch of Alabasta.
Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the organization, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the second season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this signals a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the part. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The platform’s adapted One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
